Day 1: Connecticut to Heritage Plantation & Gardens

We begin our Cape Cod adventure with a visit to Heritage Plantation and Gardens in the historic town of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Amid over 100 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, enjoy the Antique Automobile Exhibit, stroll to the many museums of special exhibits of artifacts and priceless artwork, take a ride on the 1908 Loof Carousel and much more.

We arrive at our hotel, the historic Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis, Cape Cod. Situated on nine secluded oceanfront acres, the historic Lighthouse Inn offers a private sandy beach, heated pool, tennis, and restaurant with panoramic ocean views. (Dinner included)

Day 2: Scenic Cape Cod Tour - Art’s Sand Dunes

After breakfast, our local guide joins us as we travel on picturesque Route 6A where farms, and beautiful historic homes of the 1700’s dot the roadway.

We will make a stop at the most photographed lighthouse on Cape Cod, the Nauset Lighthouse. Nearby we uncover the story of the Three Sisters Lighthouses, icons of coastal heritage.

A stop in Provincetown will allow us time for lunch and local shopping. Next, we arrive at Art’s Sand Dunes for a one-of-a-kind tour of the protected sand dunes in the Cape Cod National Seashore National Park. Aboard a special vehicle, our knowledgeable guide will share the history and ecology of these beautiful dunes that have inspired writers and artists for years.

Our travels bring us back to the south shore of Cape Cod and the vibrant town of Hyannis. There will be time to enjoy Main Street with its many shops and restaurants this evening. (Breakfast included)

Day 3: Martha’s Vineyard Ferry & Tour

After breakfast we head to the Hy-Line Cruise Ferry dock for our cruise to beautiful Martha’s Vineyard. Known for visits by presidents and royalty, this summer home of many artists, writers and celebrities is full of surprises.

On our guided island tour, we see all the highlights of "the Vineyard" (as the locals call it), including quaint gingerbread-styled cottages and a once-famous whaling port resplendent with sea captains’ homes and widows’ walks.

Later in the afternoon we reboard the ferry for the return to Hyannis. From there we board our coach for our return trip to Connecticut with wonderful Cape Cod memories. (Breakfast included)
