Lake George Adirondack Balloon Festival

Day 1: Connecticut to Lake George, NY

After our morning departure we head north to Albany, New York. Here we visit the historic New York State Museum. This museum features a variety of history, science, and art exhibitions including Adirondack Wilderness, Birds of New York, Beneath the City: Albany Archaeology, Harlem in the 20s, Fire Engine Hall, World Trade Center: Rescue, Recovery, Response, the New York State Museum Carousel and more. Later we arrive at the Fort William Henry Resort. Our premier hotel offers deluxe accommodations, dining and amenities...all right across from Lake George. Enjoy dining overlooking the lake this evening.

Day 2: Adirondack Balloon Festival

We depart for the 53rd Adirondack Balloon Festival for the early morning launch! Keep your cameras handy...80+ colorful, airborne balloons make a breathtaking sight!

Returning to the hotel, there will be time to explore Lake George Village, with its many shops within walking distance of the hotel.

This afternoon we enjoy a 14-mile Islands of Narrow Cruise on Lake George aboard the Mohican. “The Narrows” is considered the most scenic, peaceful, calming and beautiful spot on the entire lake. See for yourself why Lake George is called the “Queen of American Lakes”. A dinner buffet is included this evening at the hotel.

Afterwards those wishing can return to the Balloon Festival grounds to enjoy Moon Glow. This event features tethered balloons lit up with burners in the dark, creating a magical, glowing display against the night sky. (Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 3: Saratoga Springs – Home

After breakfast, we head to Saratoga Springs. From its stately mansions, horseracing history, beautiful parks, natural mineral springs and cultural landmarks, Saratoga is a place meant to be explored. Our local guide joins us so we can enjoy the rich history of this beautiful area. Before leaving enjoy its lively downtown with great restaurants, shops, and galleries. (Breakfast included)
