And this year the incredible Biblical story of JONAH comes to Lancaster’s Sight & Sound Theater! Complete with magnificent sets, immersive special effects, and live animals, JONAH is a state-of-the-art theatrical experience. Day 1: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
We arrive midafternoon at our hotel for two nights, the award-winning Eden Resort in the heart of the beautiful Amish farmlands. Dinner is included at the King Family Amish home. We will experience warm hospitality and Amish culture while our guests prepare and serve an authentic Amish feast. (Dinner Included)
Day 2: Amish Touring – Sight & Sound Theater – Miller’s
This morning our adventure begins through the Amish Farmlands. We visit the Amish Village, discovering the traditions and simple way of life of the Amish. Explore the one-room schoolhouse, crafts and jam-and-jelly shop, horse drawn carriages, and more. Our local guide will then lead us on a guided tour through peaceful Amish farmlands and hidden country treasures few visitors ever discover.
At midday, we visit Kitchen Kettle Village for lunch and time to browse unique Amish goods, crafts, and specialty shops. Midafternoon, take your seat for the thrilling new stage production of JONAH at the state-of-the-art Sight & Sound Theater.
A plentiful, all-you-can-eat smorgasbord at the popular Miller’s Smorgasbord awaits us after the show. Known for time-honored recipes, fresh ingredients, and made-from-scratch favorites, Miller’s continues to serve up hearty tantalizing meals. (Breakfast and Dinner included)
Day 3: Longwood Gardens – Home
We rise to a delicious breakfast before heading to the award-winning Longwood Gardens--considered one of the world’s premier horticultural gardens and one of the 100 greatest places in the world!
With over 1,100 acres of gardens and elaborate horticultural displays you will be mesmerized by its Spring beauty. There will be time to enjoy lunch in the gardens before we head home to Connecticut. (Breakfast included)
