Day 1: Connecticut to Southampton, Long Island

This morning we skip the traffic and soak in the views as we ferry from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson, Long Island.

Upon our arrival we reboard our coach and head to the Sparkling Pointe Winery, known for some of the best wines in the New York wine region.

In their state-of-the-art winery, we’ll learn about the Methode Champenoise process from start to finish. We conclude with a tasting of sparkling wines and charcuterie delights.

We head to the exclusive town of Southampton with time for lunch. Our guide, Bruce Michael, joins us for a fascinating tour of the Rich & Famous. We’ll explore the famed villages of South and East Hampton, home to many celebrities including Billy Joel, Ina Garten, Steven Spielberg, Kelly Ripa and Martha Stewart. As a longtime resident of the area, Bruce shares his wealth of experience in the most entertaining and informative style.

Later this afternoon we check into the Hyatt Place Riverhead. This beautiful waterfront hotel is ideally located in the center of this charming town that was awarded as one of the top 50 travel destinations in 2023. Dinner is included next door in the stunning Coliseum Room at the Long Island Aquarium. As you dine you will be mesmerized with its 120,000-gallon Lost City of Atlantis Shark Habitat. This massive exhibit houses several species of sharks and tropical fish that glide gracefully through the water. During the evening there will be time to enjoy the beautiful Long Island Aquarium with its stunning aquatic exhibits. (Dinner included-Please make meal selections)

Day 2: Old Westbury Gardens - Home

After a relaxing breakfast we head to Old Westbury, one of Long Island’s most prestigious and historic North Shore communities. We visit the town’s iconic landmark, Old Westbury Gardens. This magnificent Charles II-style mansion is nestled amid 200 acres of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, woodlands, ponds and lakes. Our visit includes a tour of this opulent mansion and time to enjoy the gardens.

Following lunch in the gardens, we head home on our coach with fond memories of our exclusive Hamptons’ getaway.
